Painting and Kat Von D
Turns out it's damn near impossible to watch full episodes of LA Ink online... I finally found a terribly structured site that only had about 60% of the episodes. I'm not easily influenced by people I don't know on such a personal level, but I'm in love with Kat Von D. Her personality reminds me of a wonderful vibrant friend I have back home in El Paso, and I know I wouldn't trade her for the world.
I follow Kat Von D on Instagram and Facebook, and I'm deeply infatuated with her cosmetics line. She's the only reason I bother wandering through Sephora. She's not only a talented tattooer, but her random sketches posted on Instagram are equally perfect. Because of her artistic skills, I was inspired to start an oil painting.
My paintings are usually acrylic, so taking the time to do an oil painting is a huge step. Oil takes SO MUCH time (mainly to dry), but the malleable paint will create mesmerizing blends and colors. I hope in a few weeks time I can show you a completed work of beauty. Thank you, Kat Von D.
There are days where I convince myself marriage and forever love isn't in my future. The person I want (or think I want) doesn't want me... So, a life of unrequited love. A certain part of me will always be unfulfilled, and that's not fair to anyone I end up with. It's easy to think I'm not worth anyone's time and effort, but that doesn't mean I don't value myself. I have all the time and effort in the world to work on ME.
On an unrelated note, I feel like I could create my own clothes successfully.... Now if I could just afford a sewing machine.
The love of my life is a drummer who sets the beat of my heart to the rhythm of his soul.
